PitLane Auctions is a marketplace for Hot Wheels and other diecast cars, with Pitlane Garage beside it for your collection.
Auctions and Buy Now
Sell a car in a timed auction, at a Buy Now price, or both. A Toy # is required. If you cannot find it, mark Don't know. Toy numbers are stored in capitals.
A listing belongs to the seller's country and is priced in that country's currency. Buyers browsing that country see it. Turn on List internationally and it also shows in every country's auction feed, marked as international.

Live auctions
An approved auctioneer hosts a show at /live/ followed by their handle. An admin has to approve the auctioneer, and Stripe payouts have to be ready, before they can go live.
A show can embed a YouTube or Twitch stream. A TikTok link cannot be embedded. The page shows a Watch on TikTok button instead.
Each car is open for bids for 15, 30, 45, 60, 90 or 120 seconds. A bid in the last 5 seconds resets that car's clock to 5 seconds. Cars use the same Toy # rule as a normal listing.
When the show ends, the cars one buyer won are one checkout: one Stripe payment for all of them. The seller adds shipping and releases the trade before that payment. The service fee line is payment processing and PitLane's fee, 2% of the price. A demo show cannot be paid.
The demo show is simulated. You cannot bid with real money, and it creates no orders.
Trades
A listing can be open to trades, or trade only. Buyers offer cars from their trade list. Cash can be added, except on a trade-only listing, where no cash can be added. Nothing is agreed until one of you accepts.

Seller shops
A seller can open a shop at pitlaneauctions.app/s/ and their shop name. The page shows the profile, the seller rating and the active listings.
A business seller must give a legal name, an organisation number, a contact email and an address before the shop can be shown.
Pitlane Garage
Garage is the collection tracker. You can follow castings and series. One card can hold several copies. Each copy can have its own purchase price. Series and collection views can show a Garage cover when one exists for that Toy #.
Payments
Sellers choose PayPal, a bank transfer, or Vipps if they sell from Norway. Where card payouts are switched on, the buyer pays by card into the seller's own Stripe account. Stripe pays the seller's bank on its own schedule. The buyer pays a service fee of payment processing plus PitLane's 2%. The seller receives the item price plus shipping.
Buyer Protection, when it is switched on, is separate. The payout stays in the seller's Stripe balance until delivery. The buyer pays 5% plus 8 kr, including VAT. The seller pays 1%.
Free to list
Listing is free for every seller. No listing credits or subscription are required. A live show does not charge a listing credit while listing stays free.
The first 20 sellers to reach 50 sales get a Free auctions for life mark in Settings. Settings tells them that listing on PitLane is free for them forever.
