The marketplace
PitLane is an international marketplace for diecast cars. A listing is priced in the seller's own country. Buyers see the auctions for their country, and they also see cars a seller has chosen to list internationally. Those cars are marked international.
You can sell in a timed auction, at a Buy Now price, or both. A Toy # is required on a listing. If you cannot find it, mark Don't know. Listing is free.

How trading stays safer
A new seller adds one photo of a paper note with their username and the date, next to the car, until they have completed sales to 5 different buyers. It uses one of the six photo slots. The listing shows "Seller added a note photo". That badge means the seller added the photo. It is not a check that someone reviewed it.
An unprotected purchase from a new seller is capped at 1000 NOK, converted into the listing currency.
Buyers can rate a seller after they receive the car, the order is completed, or the car is in a shipping box. Sellers can rate a buyer after receipt or completion, or 14 days after they marked it shipped. Seller ratings are public. Buyer ratings are not.
Marking a shipped order requires a tracking number, a carrier, the parcel weight and a packing photo of the car inside the package. Pickup and trade-only orders do not.
Sellers choose PayPal, a bank transfer, or Vipps if they sell from Norway. Buyers pay the seller directly. Where card payouts are switched on, buyers can pay by card into the seller's own Stripe account. Stripe asks for ID and bank details. PitLane does not see or store them.
A seller can offer Buyer Protection when it is switched on for the site and the seller's country is allowed: the EEA countries Stripe supports from this site, plus the United Kingdom, Switzerland, the United States and Canada. The buyer pays by card. The payout stays in the seller's Stripe balance until the car is delivered. The buyer pays a service fee of 5% plus 8 kr, including VAT. The 8 kr is converted into other currencies. The seller pays 1%.
